BLUE TENTING INFO - January 30th 2010
Hey Crazies,
Blue Tenting is almost here! This Saturday, January 30th is going to be the Kick-off Day to determine tent order. Tent order will be determined by three events: Dirt sheets, Dash-to-the-Secret-Spot (finding Zach at a random location), and Duke Basketball Trivia. Each of these events will make 1/3 of your team’s score.
Here is the schedule for the day:
Friday at 11:59 PM (Friday before midnight) Dirt sheets must be submitted to headlinemonitor@gmail.com. Your dirt should include 10 facts about the teams we play at home during the remainder of the year. This will count for 1/3 of your team’s score. If you do not submit by midnight on Friday, you will receive a 0 for this portion of your score!
Friday at 11:59 PM (Friday before midnight) All groups must submit tenting rosters to headlinemonitor@gmail.com. Please follow the format on the K-Ville website (Tent Roster Documents).
9:00 AM Saturday Groups may begin setting up tents in K-Ville
12:00 PM Doors will open in Cameron for an optional viewing of the Georgetown game. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
1:00-3:00 PM Optional viewing of the Georgetown game in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
4:30 PM Dash-to-the-Secret-Spot. Find Zach. His location will be posted on DukeBluePlanet, K-Ville Group on Facebook, Twitter, K-Ville website, and the K-Ville list-serve. You must bring your completed roster (formatted according to Tent Roster Documents on the website). This event will count for 1/3 of your team’s score.
7:00-8:30 PM Duke Basketball Trivia in Card Gym. This event will count for 1/3 of your team’s score. No cell phones will be allowed during this event. If you use a cell phone during the trivia, your team will receive a 0 for this portion of your score!
11:00 PM- 4:00 AM RXN Party in Card Gym. This is sponsored by DUU Special Projects, Duke Basketball, and the Line Monitors. The first 300 people will receive free white t-shirts and highlighters. There will be dancing, glow sticks, and signed basketball prizes! Two nights of grace, February 7th and February 8th, will be given to any tent groups that have all 12 members present at the party.
2:30 AM Blue Tenting officially begins. The tent order will be announced at this time in Card Gym. You must have at least 6 members of your group in K-Ville at this time. 6 members of your tent will spend the night in K-Ville Saturday night.
